Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
At Alve, we believe your mindfulness practice should be private. We designed this application to be local-first, meaning we collect as little data as possible and keep your personal session data on your own device.
1. Data We Collect and How We Store It
- Session and Streak Data: Your daily streaks, completed breathing cycles, and mindful practice minutes are stored locally on your device using your browser's
localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers. - Analytics Data: We may use basic, anonymized analytics (like Google Analytics) to understand aggregated traffic patterns (e.g., how many people visit the site or which exercises are most popular). This does not track individual identities.
2. What We Don't Do
- No Accounts: We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or create a password.
- No Advertising: Alve is proudly ad-free. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertising networks or third-party data brokers.
- No Tracking Across Sites: We do not track your behavior across other websites.
3. Third-Party Services
Our website is hosted on modern web infrastructure (like Cloudflare Pages or Vercel). These providers may collect basic connection information (like IP addresses) for security and DDoS protection purposes as part of standard web traffic routing.
4. Your Rights
Because your session data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can clear your data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or cache.
5. Changes to this Policy
If we introduce new features (like optional cross-device syncing) that require server-side data storage, we will update this policy and request your explicit consent before collecting any new data.
